I’ve never been so passionate about an election before. It was a momentous day. I got goosebumps and was teary-eyed and overwhelmed with emotion on Tuesday night. Obama has a tough road ahead of him, that’s for sure, but the point here is that he is ON the road. At last, an intelligent president. I’m really excited about the international reaction. And I’m exuberant about Michelle. They just better get those girls a dog, and quickly!

I was so relieved that Prop 2 won by a landslide. It felt good to be a part of the process, to speak out for those who can’t speak out for themselves. How a society treats those who have no voice speaks volumes.

I am disheartened and truly scared about the results of Prop 8. We have a long ways to go in terms of acceptance and understanding. I believe there are some institutions out there who have missed the message about love and respect, regardless of background or orientation.
